Instruments Gallery
Displays a list of pre-defined Instrument symbols commonly used on P&ID drawings.

The following gallery displays which can be left floating or docked to the drawing area.
Select the symbol by clicking the item name or the associated icon. After selecting the instrument symbol, OpenPlant PID displays the Properties dialog prompting you to build a tag number for the instrument.
Note: If the Tag Dialog
Prompt option is turned off in the
PID
Document dialog's Settings tab, then a default tag number will be used
and the
Properties dialog does not display. The next available tag
number in an incremental sequence is assigned to the component. Properties and
tag numbers can be edited in the Properties dialog after placement.

Place Instruments by either manually picking a point in the drawing or entering the coordinates. Function symbols are used in conjunction with instrument bubbles to indicate the Instrument function. |
